Some time ago i posted a few pictures from Urskog-Hølandsbanen, a museal railway out of Sørumsand, near Oslo, Norway. Since then, I have joined the ranks of the volunteers running the railway, and have started photographing them. With time, I hope to be a boilerman and then a driver of the steam train running the line.

This christmas the project took a more concrete form. I figured what we do is a lot like live-action role-playing, by operating the railway as close as possible to how it was run until its discontinuing of service in 1960, with period technical solutions and uniforms. Why not take it the step further, to photography, by using a period camera? Fortunately I have a 1958 Yashicaflex 635 TLR that is perfect for the job, being small enough to carry around whilst oiling up the connecting rods and gears (the chosen task for newbies, which I totally blew it with the last time by using superheater oil on non-superheated components (the difference being like oil and glue)).
