Folkenfolk depicts the audience and volunteers keeping Folken, the Stavanger Student Community house, rocking and rolling. I was a volunteer there myself for four years. Many cultural scenes in Norway is based on volunteer work rather than professionals, but the role is under-communicated. Folken was one of the most popular concert venues in town. For the Folkenfolk series I wanted to focus on the pople working behind the stage and the audience in front, to recognize their essential role in Folken.
